Terms of Service
By visiting or using Viral Cage Play (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of Viral Cage Play.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with a parent or legal guardian’s permission and supervision.
- The Service currently supports guest-style play. A nickname is a display name, not proof of identity. Do not use another person’s name or impersonate anyone.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your device, player session or account credentials, where applicable.
Permitted use
Use the Service for lawful, personal gameplay. You may not disrupt matches, interfere with servers or other players, exploit vulnerabilities, reverse engineer or overload the Service, automate abusive activity, or use the Service to violate another person’s rights.
Availability and changes
Games, rooms, matchmaking, voice/video features and other functions may be changed, limited, suspended or discontinued. Online play depends on network connectivity and third-party infrastructure. We do not promise uninterrupted service, permanent room storage, error-free gameplay or that every match will be recoverable after a disconnect.
Player content and moderation
You are responsible for your nickname and anything you communicate or transmit. We may remove content, end sessions, restrict features or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect players, the Service or the law.
Intellectual property
The Service’s original branding, design, software and materials are owned by or licensed to their respective rights holders. You may not copy, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit them without permission. Game names and traditional game concepts may belong to their respective communities or rights holders.
Disclaimers and limits
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties where legally permitted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost progress, lost data, service interruption or conduct of other players. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer-protection rights.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access for breaches of these Terms or the Community Rules, security concerns, legal requirements or operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.
Updates
We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version here and changing the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information that may be processed when you use Viral Cage Play. The exact information available can depend on the feature you use, your browser and the current technical configuration.
Information processed
- Nickname: the display name you choose. The game code stores it in your browser’s local storage so it can be remembered on that device, and may send it to the online room so an opponent can see it.
- Game and room data: room codes/identifiers, player roles, match state, moves, player presence and connection status needed to create, join, synchronize and monitor online games.
- Technical session data: The Service may process anonymous session identifiers and basic connection information needed to support online gameplay, security and abuse prevention.
- Voice/video calls: if you choose to start or accept a call and grant browser permission, your device uses its microphone and/or camera. Calls may involve peer-to-peer connections and supporting network services. Network routing can expose connection information, such as IP addresses, to the other peer or service providers involved in establishing the connection.
- Support and safety reports: if you contact the operator or report a problem, information you choose to provide may be used to respond and investigate.
How information is used
- Operate multiplayer rooms, matchmaking, player presence and game synchronization.
- Remember a nickname and, where supported, resume a player’s room on the same browser.
- Enable optional voice/video calling and maintain service security.
- Investigate cheating, abuse, technical faults and violations of the rules.
- Meet legal obligations and protect players, the operator and the Service.
Cookies and local storage
The game uses browser local storage for settings such as your nickname and saved room/session details. The Service and its infrastructure providers may use technologies necessary to provide online functionality, security and reliability. You can clear site data through your browser, but doing so may remove your saved nickname or room information.
Service providers and sharing
Online gameplay relies on third-party hosting, database, authentication and network infrastructure providers. Voice/video connection setup may also use network support services. These providers may process technical information as needed to deliver their services under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, enforce these policies or secure the Service.
Retention and security
Room and presence information is retained according to the database configuration and cleanup processes in effect; we do not promise a fixed retention period for every record. Nickname and saved-room values may remain in your browser until you clear them. We use reasonable measures appropriate to a small online game service, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose a nickname, decline microphone/camera permissions, avoid voice/video calls, and clear local site data in your browser. You may request access, correction or deletion of information associated with you, subject to identity verification, technical limits and legal requirements. Some game records may not be readily identifiable to a person because guest play uses anonymous identifiers.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact the operator so the matter can be reviewed.
International processing
Third-party infrastructure may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different privacy laws.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when the Service or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current published version.
Community Rules
Every player must help keep matches fair, respectful and safe.
- Respect other players. No harassment, threats, hate speech, bullying, targeted insults or repeated unwanted contact.
- Play honestly. Do not cheat, manipulate match results, use unauthorized automation, exploit bugs or interfere with another player’s moves.
- Do not disrupt service. No flooding rooms, matchmaking abuse, denial-of-service activity, malicious links, attempts to access another player’s account or attempts to bypass security.
- Use appropriate names. Nicknames must not contain slurs, threats, sexual exploitation, impersonation or personal information about another person.
- Protect privacy. Do not publish another person’s private information, record or share calls without appropriate consent, or pressure anyone to reveal personal details.
- Use calls responsibly. Voice/video is optional. Do not send unwanted, threatening or sexually explicit material. Stop a call if the other participant asks you to.
- Report problems responsibly. Provide accurate information. Do not make knowingly false reports or retaliate against someone for reporting a concern.
Ban & Moderation Rules
We may apply a warning, remove a nickname or content, end a match/call, temporarily suspend access, or issue a permanent ban. The response depends on the seriousness, frequency, evidence and impact of the conduct.
Possible enforcement levels
- Warning: for a first or lower-impact violation where a warning is appropriate.
- Temporary restriction: for repeated or more serious violations. Restrictions may last for a limited period.
- Permanent ban: for severe abuse, threats, targeted harassment, cheating or exploitation that harms the Service, attempts to compromise systems, or repeated violations after prior action.
- Immediate protective action: access may be restricted without a prior warning where necessary to address an urgent safety, security or legal concern.
Ban evasion
Creating or using alternate identities, devices or routes to evade a restriction is a separate violation and may result in further restrictions.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation action was applied in error, contact the operator at [email protected]. Include your nickname, approximate date, the reason shown (if any) and a concise explanation. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens or sensitive identity documents unless specifically required through a verified secure process. Appeals are reviewed when reasonably practicable; submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal.
The admin tools may record a ban duration and reason. Enforcement also depends on the server-side database rules and implementation being correctly configured; publication of this policy alone does not technically enforce bans.
Game Rules
Bagh-Chal (Tigers and Goats)
- One player controls 4 tigers; the other controls up to 20 goats. Goats move first.
- During the placement phase, the goat player places one goat on an empty intersection per turn. Tigers may move along a legal connected line to an adjacent empty intersection, or capture a goat by jumping over it to an empty connected intersection when the board lines permit it.
- After all 20 goats have been placed, the goat player moves one goat per turn along a legal line to an adjacent empty intersection.
- A tiger wins by capturing 5 goats. A goat wins by blocking all 4 tigers so none has a legal move.
- Pieces may only move along lines drawn on the board. A piece cannot move to an unconnected point or onto an occupied point. A captured goat is removed from play.
Tic-Tac-Toe
Two players take turns placing X and O in empty squares on a 3×3 grid. The first to make a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of three wins. If all squares fill without a line, the game is a draw.
Dots & Boxes
Players take turns drawing one horizontal or vertical line between adjacent dots. Completing the fourth side of a box claims that box and gives the player another turn. When no lines remain, the player with the most boxes wins.
Four Connect
Players take turns dropping a piece into a column. Pieces occupy the lowest available space. The first player to connect four pieces horizontally, vertically or diagonally wins. If the board fills with no four-in-a-row, the result is a draw.
Chess
White moves first. Players alternate one legal move at a time. The aim is to checkmate the opponent’s king. Standard chess piece movement, check, checkmate, castling, en passant, promotion, stalemate and draw rules apply. A move that leaves your own king in check is illegal.
Checkers
Players move diagonally on playable squares. Ordinary pieces move forward; kings may move diagonally forward or backward. Captures are made by jumping an opponent’s piece into an empty square beyond it. Captured pieces are removed. The objective is to capture or block all opposing pieces. If the game client enforces mandatory captures or a particular regional rule set, follow the rule indicator shown in that game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create an account?
Guest-style play is supported. The Service may create an anonymous session identifier for online features; this is not the same as registering with an email and password.
Why does my nickname come back?
Your nickname may be saved in local storage on that browser. Clear the site’s stored data to remove the locally saved nickname.
Can I play without voice or video?
Yes. Voice/video calls are optional. Do not grant microphone or camera permission if you do not want to use those features.
Why did my game disconnect?
Online play depends on your connection, the other player’s connection, browser settings and third-party infrastructure. Rejoin the room if the game allows it. A disconnect may prevent recovery of the match.
Are matches and nicknames public?
Nicknames and match/room data may be shared with the other participant and processed by the online game infrastructure. Do not put private or identifying information in a nickname.
Can I report cheating or abuse?
Use the contact route published on viralcage.com and include the nickname, room/game details and approximate time. Share only information needed to explain the issue.
Can a ban be appealed?
Yes. Follow the appeal instructions in the Ban & Moderation Rules section. Include enough detail to identify the action, but never send your password or private authentication tokens.
Does Viral Cage Play guarantee prizes or tournament outcomes?
No prize, cash reward, official rating, tournament result or guaranteed matchmaking outcome is promised unless a separate official announcement clearly says otherwise.
Contact & Legal
For privacy requests, policy questions, bug reports or ban appeals, email [email protected]. Please do not include passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information in a message.
These policies are a general operational draft and are not legal advice or a certification that the Service complies with every law that may apply. Privacy, consumer-protection, accessibility, child-safety and online-service requirements vary by location and by the actual technical configuration. The operator should have these policies reviewed by a qualified lawyer and confirm the contact details, retention practices, hosting locations and moderation process before relying on them as final legal documents.
